CAAC Bowling
General Match Policies/Procedures
- CAAC matches should start no later than 3:15 with reasonable accommodations for weather/transportation problems
- Coaches should confirm in advance the status of JV level programs
- The 30-point system shall be used for all dual meet (school vs. school) competition
- Bowlers and coaches shall follow the MHSAA dress code, no caps or hats, no blue jeans, sweats or t-shirts
- Coaches should exchange lineup/roster sheets prior to each match
- Tiebreaker will be total pins; second tiebreaker will be individual points won
- Home team coach/coordinator shall send scoring file to the league coordinator
- Coaches shall work together to monitor and promote good sportsmanship
- Coaches shall monitor and encourage proper pace of play
- Electronic devices such as cell phones may not be used during competition and should not be in the competition area. Listening devices such as IPODS may not be worn during competition.
- The MHSAA substitution rule shall be followed, i.e. once a substitute enters the game, he/she must finish that game.
- Bowlers may compete on only one level each day – i.e. a bowler cannot bowl varsity and JV on the same day.
- Matches that are postponed due to weather shall be made up at a mutually agreed date with facility management and school athletic directors consulted
